Happy Daddy's Day!
This year, since the kids are slightly older, we decided to do something different for Daddy instead of the usual card and cookies thingy. Bought a box of stained glass art which is actually some kind of puffy paint that you make patterns on a template and then peel off and stick onto ceramic or glass. Found a cookie jar that has been hiding in our study for the longest time.
Jedi did this spaceship mostly by himself except for the outlining which I did to help him keep the paint within the lines. A spaceship for Daddy!
This smiley face was done by Krisa. Had to help her with the outlining and the colouring but used her hands to help her along so she felt that she was doing it too. Colour choice was her own. She chose a smiley face as she loves the smiley faces that Daddy always asks for when he orders his coffee from McCafe!
As for me, I added on some little hearts and stars to decorate the empty spaces on the jar. We wanted to make some cookies but the kids fell sick with the flu so we just gave the jar with a big kiss and hug to Daddy!
Thanks Daddy for being OUR Daddy! We
YOU!!

Little Words of Encouragement
Today I brought the kids down to collect some medicine from their PD on standby in case they have the sniffies if I am in the hospital or during my confinement. The two kids have their way of surprising me at times.
In the cab, usually if Dan is around, we don't seat belt them as Dan will be their seat belt. Yeah kinda risky but since it so squeezy that's our seating arrangement in the cab when we sit four in a row. So the past few times that I took a cab, I explained to them that I was on my own as Dan was at work and I needed them to belt up. To my surprise, they were really cooperative especially Krisa and both sat belted up all the way to our destination. A small accomplishment for them but a big relief for me as I have been worried how to get around in a cab with two toddlers and a baby. Very proud of them.
Then, when we left the cab, the kids were usually tell the cabby, " Bye Uncle". But today Jedi said:
"God bless you, Uncle!" which was echoed by Krisa who loves to copy whatever her brother does.
The uncle was so stunned and simply smiled and told him "Thank you. You made my day."
That was heartwarming for me as I realise a child's words can be a source of encouragement in spite of their simplicity.
I am thankful for these two precious ones and at times even though they make me want to tear my hair out, I remind myself that these are two little blessings in spite of the tantrums and naughty fights and fits.
Like us they are still being moulded and shaped.

June Hols to Sentosa 2009
Dan and I took a short break with the kids to Sentosa last week. Was a blast as it was a much needed break for us to unwind and enjoy ourselves as a family and especially with the two kids before baby pops next month. Stayed there for three days and two nights. Being more immobile we stayed mainly around the hotel grounds going to the beach and swimming. also took lots of tram rides as the kids were just fascinated by them.
Going to the beach and playing with the sand was also a first for our kids! hee we have always wanted to bring them but somehow never got round to doing it. The kids were at first rather terrified of the sand in their shoes and even when it touched their bare feet. Rather sua ku! Also the heat from the sand didn't help at first. But after much coaxing from Daddy and feeling the cool waves lapping their bare feet, they began to enjoy digging trenches, pouring seawater and making sand pies. I nearly died in the heat though! Think baby inside me was also being baked! The best part of the hot beachy experience was to shower off all the sand and jump into the cool waters of the swimming pool!! SHIOK!!!! the kids had great fun in the pool in their floats and learning to jump into our arms in the pool!
The stay included a yummy breakfast and dinner buffet and the spread was very good! But think our kids are used to eating really simple food at home like soup, rice and other simple fare so they didn't appreciate the food and were not even interested in the desert spread!!! how can anyone not be tempted by desserts??! But, Dan indulged them with the gummy sweet buffet and I think they ate their fill of sweets to last a year! Literally! He filled their bowls and even an ice-cream cone with sweets for them!
We all had a great time and it was a good unwinding for us all to just relax and enjoy as a family. Thanks Dear for making the time to spend with us despite your busy work this month. Great that we are all nicely sun tanned too!!

Counting Down....
Time really really flies.
The last time I felt like this was when I was expecting Krisalyn. Now she is already 2 1/2 and Jedi is a little big boy of 4 years!
Our third bundle of joy will be arriving in mid-July if she doesn't decide to pop earlier. Her kicking really reminds me of Jedi when he was in my tummy. Kung-fu patterns and my tummy literally moving violently left to right. Think she is probably asking her 2 older siblings to pipe down or perhaps she is dying to join in the ruckus!
So after much prayer, we have decided to call her.... Kezia
It is from the Hebrew name Keziah which means - Cassia; sweet-scented spice. Keziah was one of Jobs three fair daughters in the bible. Job 42:14
'Lord we pray that baby Kezia will grow to be a sweet girl in her spirit and may her beauty be one which radiates Your love and grace. May her sweetness be truly a sweet-scent to the people around her."
See you soon little one in 5 weeks!
