Outdoors with the 2 Princesses!

The two little girls having fun at the playground. Despite their little tiffs, squabbles and echoes of "Hmph! I don't friend you anymore!", I'm glad to see their sisterly bond growing. Krisalyn has grown into the role of a big sister gradually and she would help me feed her younger sister at times when I'm rushing for time and I need Keziah to hurry up. One of the little ways out of the many that she has helped me....

Am blessed to have 2 little princesses... :)

Keziah Turns 3!

Our youngest baby, or rather no longer a baby anymore has just turned 3 on the 11th of July. She is our '7-eleven baby' as its easy to remember her birthdate this way. Had a simple celebration for her too and her request was to have a little party in school with her little friends. Packed the goodie bags for her and she went to choose her own cake the day before. Check out what she chose!
Looks so pretty right? Was a beautiful fruit gateau from Bengawan Solo with soft vanilla sponge inside. But the sad part is that her teachers felt that her little friends might not want the fruits so all of them got scraped off and the little ones had just the cake. But the fruits were really so pretty...mabe too pretty to eat! Jedidiah came along with me and eyed the fruits greedily and I had to keep reminding him that it was his Mei Mei's cake. He was really a great help and helped me to take a video of her party.Krisalyn came over from her class to join in the fun for awhile too.

Dan had a morning meeting that day so he couldn't come to school. But he bought her another fruit cake and lots of little snacks and treats that were the kids favourite. So we had another round of singing and blowing the candles for her. Keziah kept asking the next day " How come I have two birthday cakes?" and she loved hearing the answer " because you are very special!" Was nice to just have a simple and quiet birthday celebration and have some family time together. A treasured moment.

Keziah also recieved a very special birthday card from a very special person. Thanks so much for making her day. :)

Blessed birthday Keziah! You are indeed the 'sweet-scented spice' in our family and bring much 'Grace and Happiness' as in the meaning of your Chinese Name: En Xi. We love you!

Happy 7th Birthday Jedidiah!

Jedi turned 7 on 28th June! 7! I still can't believe that he's grown so much and so quickly too! Had a simple celebration with him and went to have his all-time favourite food at Sakae Sushi and his favourite mochi on his actual birthday after he came home from school.

Had a simple celebration this year. Perhaps we are getting older or lazier but I'm so tired of having birthday parties for our kids either in the home or having it outside as all the coordination is so much work. And the clean up after that is really no joke too! So this year, my mum-in-law wanted to do a steambaot for him and celebrate with all his cousins on Dan's side. Was a nice and simple lunch and Jedi had lots of fun playing with his cousins. Really appreciate my mum-in-law for hosting at her place and also for waking up early to prepare the ingredients for the steamboat. Xie Xie Ni! :)

Thanks to Ah-Mah and Gong Gong for your present which Jedi bought his spiderman Lego that he's been eyeing for the longest time! Thanks too to Dai Gu Ma and Ee Gu Ma and family for coming to celebrate for Jedi and for all the lovely gifts!

One ancedote is that Jedi told his best friend in school that he was having a party and his little friend turned up at our place with a gift for him! Sweet of the little boy but I have no idea what Jedi was thinking! I had to call the parents to thank them and apologize for the miscommunication! So malu! But Jedi was very happy with his gift (of course!) and we made him prepare a nice goodie bag filled with yummy stuff to give his friend when he saw him in school the next day.

Blessed 7th Birthday Jedidiah! We love you very much and may you grow in the Lord in wisdom and in favour too. *hugz*

Father's Day!

Had a simple celebration for Father's Day this year. The kids were very excited and kept using the recycled paper to make cards and letters and wanted to give them everytime the weekend came. I was racking my brains too as to what to give Dan so the kids and decided to do something special for him instead. English Breakfast! The two older ones woke me up really early at 6 am and were chased back to sleep by a really grouchy mommy! But we had fun together making the breakfast for our dear Daddy!

We went to the Zoo too for Jedi's holiday project and also to spend time as a family for Father's Day. Was a good time of bonding as Dan has been so busy with his work and having to travel these past few months. Only thing is that the girls were more interested in the Zoo than Jedi and he was more exicted looking at the cold drink vending machines than the animal exhibits! Topped it off with some nice scoops of Ben & Jerry's ice cream! Perfect for a hot day!

Thank you Daddy for working hard for us every day and we pray that you will continue to find joy in all that you do. May the Lord grant you His wisdom as you go about your work and may you walk closely in His steps and in His ways. Thank you Daddy for being a godly Daddy who loves us and we love the family devotion time with you every weekend too! We love you!

Also, I want to say a big thank you to my own Papa who has been a constant source of encouragement to me over the years. Thank you for all you have done for me and all your sacrifices over the years and for the family. I am where I am and who I am today because of you and Mummy's prayers and guidance. Thank you Papa! :) Love you very much!
