Something Not so New but Simply Perfect!

Was planning to transit Keziah to the bed as her old cot needed to be returned. She was delighted at first in the bed but came out of the room to our horror in 5 minutes saying she didn't want to sleep. It was horrifying for me as she has been an easy baby to settle with popping her in the cot, saying a goodnight prayer and giving her a kiss and hug and leaving the room. Then it would be zzzzz land all the way till morning. ( she has been the easiest and best sleeper among the 3!).

So that begun our hunt for a new cot! Found a great deal on eBay and bought this cot that can be turned into a bed up to 7 years old for $80. Wood was in a good condition and just praying it will last all the way. Think it might be easier to transit her to the bed if its the same one that can be morphed later!

Thankfully she adjusted well to her new cot and its back to a good night's rest....for now!

Precious Gifts from Great Grandma!

My dearest Ah-mah gave these three little soft toys to our three little ones. She has never given them soft toys before as she usually expressess her doting through visiting and praying for them, buying fish regularly for them and little biscuits or ang pows during festive occasions and their birthdays. Was thrilled to get these three cuddlies from her as it was something out of character and unexpected!

The brown doggie is for Jedi, the white and brown one is for Krisalyn and the little tiger is for Keziah! However, the tiger has been abducted by Jedi who sleeps with it everynight now...good thing Keziah doesn't understand the meaning of 'borrowing' yet!

Told my kiddoes to treasure these three little cuddlies as they are precious gifts from their one and only precious and dear great grandma!

Sleeping Potions

Our two older kiddies had a bed upgrade last month. They moved into bunk beds with Krisalyn at the bottom and Jedidiah on top. Previously, I have had much sleeping woes with Krisalyn as she would wake up at least once every night thrashing around or kicking a fuss for nothing. However, we continued to pray for her every night for good sleep and sweet and sound dreams. It helped but there was still the occasional waking up which would make me very grouchy as I would be so tired the next day due to lack of sleep.

Anyways, we decided to move them into new beds as we had an inkling that perhaps the bed she was sleeping in was not so comfy as it was movable and had to be wedged down with two door stoppers!

The kids helped Dan to set up the bed and it took an entire afternoon and evening! Afterwich we loaded all the the blankies and bolsters and soft toys and packed them to sleep as usual. And guess what...since then Krisalyn has become Sleeping Beauty and dosen't wake anymore at night since she moved in!

The mummy here is also less of the grouchy stepmummy personna due to a better night's rest!! Now why didn't we think of this 3 years ago??!!!
