One Month Old

Baby Keziah turned 1 month old on 11th August 2009. We decided not to have a one month celebration unlike the older two due to the flu outbreak situation. And the thought of clearing up after the party made us decide to wait till she turns 1! So we just had a simple one among the five of us by just spending family time together over the weekend. I feel a little guilty though as the older two had their full month celebrations.

At one month, Baby Keziah is really the easiest amongst the three kids. Perhaps its also because its our third one. She has more or less settled into her routine and she wakes up only once at night at about 3 or 4 am and goes back to sleep till 7am in the morning. I hope she stays this way though!

She has a BIG appetite too and takes abut 41/2 ounces (100 - 120ml) at each feed! So I guess when her tummy is happy she sleeps better. Chubby cheeks coming along too!

The two kids continue to adore her and their current squabble is who has the best "prime" spot around the cot...in terms of who has the best view of seeing baby's face! Drives me nuts too! As they will be squishing and squeezing each other and arguing!Or when I am burping her they would fight over seeing her face on my shoulder and the one who is at the spot that her head is turned away from feels like the loser! Kids can fight about anything!

Thank You Mummy!

This post is dedicated to my dearest Mummy!

Thanks Mummy for coming back for 3 weeks to help me in my last stages of preggie-ness and for buying the food and ensuring that I still have food delivered to me even after you left on the 25th of July!

Thanks for playing with the kids blocks and hide and seek! They remember you for it!! And playing with the little toy hammer and pretending its a monster hiding in the car. Krisa plays with it and uses it to scare Jedi!

Thanks for being my being the first to see me the minute I came out of the delivery ward. Your presence just sitting next to me was so comforting. Enjoyed talking and chatting in the hospital without the tow older ones around!

Thanks for buying me my favourite fruit tarts from Delifrance!! And ALL the yummy goodies so that I can have a good tea during my confinement. Unfortunately most of it got gobbled up by the greedy NANNY!

Thanks for praying for me and showering me with concern and even offering about the helper. Hee! It feels nice to be worried about at times.

Most of all thanks for being my Mummy. A mother's love is truly priceless. Now that I am a mother too, I am beginning to understand how deep a mother's love is. It loves even the most unlovable of us at times.

I love you Mummy! I miss you and Papa and Jon and hope to see you all soon.

Aunty Pu

Aunty Pu was a "replacement" we found from an agency to come and help to cook the food for me for the rest of confinement. She would come for four hours a day from 11am to 3pm and she would cook and help me with the household chores.

I always think the Lord has ways of ministering to me and encouraging me. Through our conversations, I learnt that she was a mother of three grown children. She would encourage me that it may be tough and hectic now but it will pass and can be done step by step. Enjoyed our lunch sessions together where she would share her parenting stories filled with little excerpts of how she dealt with her children when the misbehaved and the importance of discipline.

She was a great help during the remaining days of my confinement and her motherly ways made me really miss my own mummy alot!!

Thanks Aunty Pu! God Bless you!
