The sun, the sand and the sea...

This is to declare that i have not swum in a pool for almost FOUR years!! Only realized this when hubby and I went on a short getaway at Sentosa together how deprived I have been!!!! It was a wonderful time spending time with each other alone for 5 days without our little one although we did miss his noise! Ironic huh!
Ok for Sentosa lovers or beach bums...Sentosa is a good place to hang out now coz its more developed. there's Ben and Jerry's. Coffee Bean, Sakae Sushi...oops...I realise i'm ranting about it coz of the food! is my greediness evident? haha! but its really family friendly with trams and lots of activities for the kiddies and parents.
For couples its wonderful too as its a nice getaway from the hub of the city! I recommend all married couples to try to go on a short holiday if they can at least once a year! Its really good for the relationship as sometimes all we need is time with each other to talk and to just enjoy each other's company without a care in the world!
Thanks dear hubby for making this trip such a wonderful one! I want to go on another holiday now!!!!!!

musings....

funny how anger can be such a powerful tool to destroy.
funny how forgiveness can be so hard to extend from one who is angry and feels insulted.
funny how the attitude of 'tit for tat' always causes more harm than good.
funny how a seed of unforgiveness can eventually destroy a person and consume them.
funny how a person who thinks that others are only in the wrong and not himself only hurts himself at the end of the day.
the fragility of relationships is in one's ability to be forgiven and to be able to also give forgiveness. One who cannot will eventually destroy oneself and be left alone even by loved ones.

babies date!

yesterday was my first time being daring enough to go on a lunch date with a close friend! amazingly Jedi master sat through lunch while I ploughed through my juicy medium steak and baked potatoe! the funny thing was that she brought her little one too so we multi-tasked: ate, fed the baby, talked to each other, and kept the babies entertained! we women are marvellous creatures!!! haha! you should see the floor of Jack's Place though, had a carpet of macoroni and smashed bits of food where the babies sat!
had a wonderful time letting the babies have a play date and dance to music too! such little darlings!!! now the world is my stage...:)

A Ray of Light

I'm learning so much through the eyes of my little boy! Today he was totally abosorbed in the ........WALL!!! I looked closer and saw that he was trying to catch the ray of sunlight cast on the wall and looked perplexed as his shadow would block it when he went nearer. He leant back again and to his excitement the ray of light appeared again!!
Guess sometimes when we look too closely at our worries our situation, it seems impossible but when we lean back on the Lord thats when we see His light and His Will for our lives.
I've been learning to let go and let God and I'm beginning to see that 'ray of light' as I see things from a different perspective. I'm beginning to see the numerous blessings in my life: a wonderful hubby, an adorable son and close loved ones who are always there for me. Beginning to see too that the friends closest and dearest are the ones who are there through life's ups and downs, in tears and in joy.
Life can be truly meaningful if you just take a moment to see...that ray of light in your life... dont look too hard and you will see it....
